We were warned by a east bound boater that there was lots of “ice” ahead and to be careful as it was pretty thick. Well, we knew it was cold but we were surprised that we may run into an ice slick on a river in Florida. Our eyes were wide open and looking for the glistening “white” stuff but as we approached this bed of water hyacinths we laughed as suddenly we were pretty sure the boater said “hyacinth” not “ice.” It was pretty but it did have a lot of junk trapped within it. The east bound boater had made a nice path through it for us so we were careful but it was pretty easy.
